2023

Outside of collecting data for my Masters/Ph.D and my teaching duties, I made time for some fun :)

Volunteered to go snowshoeing in the Rockies. Things come and go, experiences and memories last a lifetime. Clearly I prioritize the latter for items alone can never fulfill a soul or solidify connections.

Gave axe throwing a try. You can say I'm a natural xD

Challenged myself to successfully cross-country ski in Colorado. The views were worth the workout!

Enjoyed watching a competitive NBA game on Christmas Day with my family. The Nuggets won.

Enjoyed Volleyball matches (a fan this time instead of a player). This image features Team France v.s. USA. Quench your own desires- don't do things because of influencers/peer pressure/social media.

Secured tickets to watch a Gold Cup semifinal match between the US and Panama. Twas a nailbiter!

Decided to lean into my passion for gardening. A little greenery goes a long way. Delayed gratification!

Lets be real, it wouldn't be me without food. Health is wealth, but life should be enjoyed too :)

Thanks for reading! If you want to see more of my journey or discuss my work, let's connect. Remember, It's Only Up From Here!

What's a break without fresh air?

It is natural for us humans to become complacent with our lives, the people, and the opportunities at our disposal. This behavior is innate and completely understandable. Think about it, if you saw a [beach] everyday, you may not view it with the excitement of someone who grew up days away from the ocean. This is not due to a lack of appreciation, but rather because [it] was at your becking call, [it] was easily... accessible. Take a chance and try something new, you never know what awaits I think many of us can agree that humans are often habitual creatures. More often then not, our lives get busy and we find comfort in our routines. The increasingly fast-paced, urbanized, and technologically advanced nature of society does not help combat this tendency. Luckily, there are currently 61 National Parks across the United States that can provide the change of environment and therapeutic experiences many of us subconsiously seek. This post focuses on a trip to Sehnandoah What ...

2025 (August- December)

Did I fly from Europe to USA to South America in less than 48 hours? Absolutely! Spent 9 hrs at home, which was just enough time to see my family, repack, and sleep before travelling again :)   Wait.. V had hotel with a balcony view, attended a friend's amazing traditional Hindu wedding, successfully navigated a new country, and ate airport Burger King before travelling to NYC? Spot on and I'd do it all over again, in a heartbeat- no regrets. My word is my bond :)   10,000+ steps daily in NYC's bookstores, museums, parks, and streets? Delicious pizza, sandwiches, ice cream, & cheesecake? Great company, memories were made, I'd do it again, and once more, no regrets. Always myself and I continue to thoroughly enjoy life :)   Still enhancing my culinary and gardening skills. Life is not a race, so enjoy the process   Enjoyed a luxury Caribbean resort. Catamaran, dancing, snorkeling, translating- the whole 9 yards. Even used my Boy Scout and Lifeguard skills t...
